Student Council

The Grange Post Primary School Student Council represents the student voice within our school community. It provides students with an opportunity to share their views, contribute ideas and take an active role in school life.

Council Membership and Meetings

  • The Council includes representatives from every year group.
  • A balanced and inclusive membership is encouraged.
  • Representatives are democratically elected by students in January each year.
  • Council officers are appointed following the elections.
  • Meetings are held once each month.

Student Council Term and Elections

The Grange PPS Student Council has decided to extend the Council term to two years. This will allow members to continue the valuable work already underway and will provide greater continuity from one Council to the next.

A Smoother Transition

Outgoing members will help to train and support newly elected representatives. We hope this approach will ensure a smoother handover and allow the Council to build on the excellent work completed by previous members.

New representatives have been selected from First Year, Second Year and Fifth Year. Existing Council members will remain in place until next January, when students will have the opportunity to elect or re-elect representatives.

We would like to sincerely thank all outgoing members for their commitment, time and hard work on behalf of the student body.
