Microsoft Teams allows parents and guardians to join a meeting in several different ways.
Joining a Microsoft Teams Meeting
- All you need to join a Teams meeting is a meeting link.
- Select Join Microsoft Teams Meeting in your meeting invitation. You will be taken to a page where you can choose to join using your web browser or download the desktop app.
- If you already have the Microsoft Teams app, the meeting should open there automatically.
- If you do not have a Teams account and the organiser has allowed it, you may have the option to enter your name and join the meeting as a guest.
- If you have a Teams account, select Sign in to join with access to the meeting chat and other features.
- Depending on the organiser’s settings, you may enter the meeting immediately or be placed in the lobby until someone admits you.
Join from the Calendar
- Select Calendar on the left side of the Microsoft Teams app to view your meetings.
- Find the meeting you want to attend and select Join.
- If someone starts the meeting, you may receive a notification that you can use to join.
Join in a Channel
- When a meeting takes place in a channel, you will see an invitation to join, relevant content and information about who is attending.
- Select Join to enter the meeting.
- Channels are located underneath each Team.
- Example Team: Student Study Help.
- Example channel: General.
